Staying safe at The White Hart Inn, Hawes

The health and well-being of our diners, guests and staff is our top priority and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we reopen our doors.

We’ve made every effort to create the safest experience for everyone. This means a few things have changed, here’s what to expect once we reopen:

Creating safe spaces

All of our areas have been reconfigured for social distancing, with protective screens on our bar counter. Currently, we provide table service only and our staff are on hand to take your orders. Please do not approach the bar to order or pay.

Managing capacity

We already use a booking system which allows our guests to book their visits in advance and register their contact details. This allows us to support contact tracing if someone does fall ill. Contact details of walk-in guests are also taken on arrival, manually or via the NHS track and trace app.

Deep cleaning

We have deep cleaned all of our spaces. This is supported by constant cleaning throughout the day, focusing on high contact surfaces, seating, tables and equipment. We use Covid targeted cleaning and sanitation products in bedrooms between stays. You will find complimentary hand sanitiser and face masks in every room.

Hand sanitiser is provided throughout our spaces for all to use. We’ve also introduced a no-touch policy, so no handshakes or other body contact for now.

Training our staff

We’ve adjusted our service processes to support distancing and enhanced cleanliness. All our staff understand the new processes and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

Contactless technology

We are becoming as contactless as possible – contactless payment is accepted and encouraged. Menus are single use or sanitised if laminated.

We are passionate about operating the business in a safe way, and we need your support to do that. We kindly ask that if you or your other guests are unwell, please do not visit us until you are feeling better.
